Hello, my name is Cliff Truss and I thank you for visiting my blog.

I guess you are probably wondering, “Who on earth is this character?”

Well, you may not have heard of me before today, but it’s my aim to become an established name in the Internet Marketing niche in the coming months and years.

So, I’ll just give you a little bit of background info about myself…

I live in deep south London with my wife and two young sons. I’ve just turned 40 and i have been running a reasonably successful electrical installation contractors for the past 11 years or so. When I say, “reasonably successful”, maybe I should say, “Busy……but still struggling!”. To be honest, I’ve come to realize over the past year or so that my desire for running and installing cables, lifting floorboards, crawling about loft spaces, dealing with customers who don’t want to pay me and all of that which goes with it, has more or less gone completely.

Can you blame me?

So I decided that I needed a new challenge! After some thought about what that new challenge should be, I came to the obvious conclusion to turn to the World Wide Web.

I had been half-heartedly, selling this and that on eBay, on a part time basis on and off since about 2004. So i started to research the eBay niche, bought some cool coaching videos from a guru, (whose name we won’t mention) and started trading in a more professional and profitable way.

I was doing ok, small scale importing and selling non-branded Chinese consumer electronics and started to generate a small 2nd income. It was always a hassle though, dealing with Chinese exporters & impatient customers and the return on investment wasn’t that great But it was ok.

By this time it was October 2009, which is only 4 months ago, and i would probably still be building on that promising eBay performance if i hadn’t had, what i firmly believe to be, a life changing moment….

I was reading a review of another eBay guru when I first came accross the name of Alex Jeffreys. In this review the Author said something like, “this guy is good but i personally recommend following Alex Jeffreys and his ‘Easy Auction Profits’ system” (which was one of Alex’s first products which related to [I think] an old, outdated eBay loophole, which has since been closed).

Anyway, my attentions were drawn towards Alex Jeffreys and I started another line of enquiry (as they say in the Bill).

So I did my research and was amazed to find out:

  • How much information there was about him on the Interweb. And,
  • How none of it seemed to be negative.

I remember being so close to pressing the “BUY” button for the Marketing with Alex (MWA) coaching course but baulked at the asking price.

With hindsight I wish I had pressed that button there and then, as it would have saved me 2 wasted months.

Instead, I decided to go on, what can only be described as a feeding frenzy of gathering as much info on internet marketing (which was a relatively new concept to me at the time). Pretty soon my head was spinning and my wallet suffering from what i now know to be INFORMATION OVERLOAD.

If you’re in that place right now, then may I suggest that you slow down a bit? You don’t need to know everything. The human brain (as remarkable an organ as it is) can only take so much information.

I finally signed up with the MWA coaching course nearly 3 weeks ago on 11th Jan 2010 and the progress I’ve made so far is something that i’m extremely proud of. Still loads to learn though, but i’m enjoying the ride!

So, as I said before, if that’s you on the road to INFORMATION OVERLOAD, then slow down. Look you’ve come to the right place so just relax and join me on my journey to Internet Marketing Superstardom.

Onwards & Upwards.
